Mehmet was born and raised in Istanbul, where he studied Metallurgical Engineering and earned his Master of Business Administration.
22 years ago, during a traineeship at a major catering and hospitality equipment production company, Mehmet was introduced to the world of commercial kitchen production and once graduated from his engineering studies, began working in the company’s contracting department.
Over the last two decades, Mehmet has been bringing commercial kitchens to life with hands-on expertise, leading design engineers and installation crews onsite. To date, he has designed over 10.000 kitchens and realized thousands among them. These projects include establishing commercial kitchens, bars and laundry projects in 43 countries, from Europe to Middle East, Africa and Asia.
In 2015, with years of professional experience and managing 3 companies from mid-scale to multinational corporations in the same field, Mehmet decided to establish his own boutique enterprise to focus on bar projects. His vision is to blend his large company experience with the hands-on approach and attention of a boutique.
Bartending has its own special details that make it different from kitchen operations – Mehmet always tries to incorporate something new in each project. Continuous learning from peers, bartenders, bar managers, and getting behind the bar himself helps Mehmet understand and feel the nuances of the bar and create better designs. He has also attended professional bartending, wine and spirit trainings from multiple organizations such as WSET Level 2, City & Guilds, etc.
With the support of his team, Mehmet’s London branch was established in 2019. With the ongoing support of his lovely wife and bright daughter, Mehmet and his family now call London their home.
